“Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.” (Psalms 40:5)

What an awesome God we serve! When God touches you with His love to awaken you in the morning, do you consider His love for you? When you see yourself in the mirror, do you take thought that you are the work of His hand? What do you see when you view God’s creation?

“To whom then will ye liken God?” (Isaiah 40:18a) Who can measure the waters in the hollow of his hand? Who can mete out the heaven with the span, or comprehend the dust of the earth in a measure? Who can weigh the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance? (Isaiah 40:12, please read on through verse18.)

There is nothing or no one wiser or greater than the God and Creator of heaven and earth. “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead…” (Romans 1:20) How can one deny such great power? How can one not see the Greatness of God, not just in creation (the world), but also in the lives of men?

“What is man, that thou shouldest magnify him? and that thou shouldest set thine heart upon him? And that thou shouldest visit him every morning, and try him every moment?” (Job 7:17-18).

If you were to attempt to list all the things that God has done for you, could you list them all? List them in order? Would you be able to number them? The thoughts of God toward man are thoughts of peace and to give him an expected end (Jeremiah 29:11). If you are saved, always remember, you serve a Great God. If you are not saved, you are missing out on a Great God and an Awesome Father.
