“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end” (Jeremiah 29:11)
God says that He sanctifies (or conforms) you daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. And since you are in union with God, His Spirit molds you into His image in order that you may share inwardly His likeness, so that you will not live the life of the flesh.
“That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” (John 3:6).
God said if you would think of yourself as He thinks of you; how glad, how healthy you would be. How much love, joy, and peace you would have. And how satisfied you would be; being separated from the world. And how much more you would feel the absence of the stress this world has to offer. “Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble.” (Proverbs 3:23)
The reason you are separated from the world is because, when you received God into your heart, He then became the dominating Force of your life (2 Corinthians 6:14-18). So why war against the “expected end” that He has for you?
When God separates us from the world, what a blessing it is – He has called us from the grave of spiritual deadness to sit in heavenly places in spiritual life.
“If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. (2) Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. (3) For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.” (Colossians 3:1-3)
Remember that we were predestinated to be conformed to the Image of God (Romans 8:29). It should bring great pleasure to our heart that God has separated us from the world (1 Peter 1:8) to conform us to Himself and to bring us to His expected end – “Glorification” (Romans 8:29-30; John 17:21-24).
