“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:10)
From God’s point of view, each one of us is a living work of art. His creation of man was and will always be an unmatched and unique accomplishment! He fashioned man using an extraordinary supernatural skill.
This daily devotional reflects on how God performed the impossible with clay and turned it into a living breathing reality, designed to bring glory and honor to Him and accomplish His purposes. Fashioned by God’s Hands!
Think about your Creator! Psalm 119:73 tells us that God’s Hands made and fashioned us. Psalm 139 speaks of how we are “fearfully and wonderfully made.” We can praise God for the many kindnesses He lavishes on us because we belong to His Son, Christ Jesus. “To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.” (Ephesians 1:6)
According to today’s Scripture, we are showcases of God’s workmanship and were created in Christ Jesus to exhibit Him in an attractive and favorable aspect. God planned our lives with goals, achievements, and “good works” before we were born (Jeremiah 1:5). This verse also urges us to “walk in the works” God has ordained for us. How can we do this? He has given us His Spirit, Who equips us to march through life according to God’s Divine Design, and helps us to respond and relate appropriately with each other and the world around us.
Think about how God fashioned you and the good works He has prepared exclusively for you.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, You are an Awesome God. It boggles my mind when I think how You knew me and designed a purpose for me before I was born! Thank You, Lord, that You made me in Your Image.
