“Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me” (Matthew 25:40)
Instead of our typical devotional, this Thanksgiving we chose to reach out with part of a letter concerning our Christmas Project: The House of Hope Prison Ministry has become aware of some indigent inmates at local prison facilities that we have the opportunity to help this Christmas season. These inmates’ families do not have the means to purchase anything special for their loved ones, so we would like to extend them a loving hand.
The “Holiday Food Package” makes available food and snack items to be ordered and shipped directly to inmates. We are able to choose the items and designate the recipient. These items can be ordered in any quantity and combination, so any donation will be welcomed.
We realize that the families themselves would also greatly appreciate the touch of a loving hand. This is why “Cards to Children” was established. We would like to send a Christmas gift to the children of these inmates. Our hope is to send a gift card to their children.
If you, your church, or your group would help with any of these gifts, our information is available on the “Contact Us” page of this website. We will be glad to either show your name, that of your organization, or send the gift anonymously, whichever you request.
Please pray for all the people separated from their families. We know it is especially difficult during this time of year. We also hope that you pray for our ministry.
Thank you for your time to read this special request. We hope that you have been blessed by our devotionals the past several months. Please continue to read them and let others know about them as well.
