“Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it” (John 8:44)
Sometimes, we find it difficult to believe God’s promises; because we have seen so many things in the natural world that may seem to contradict the true Word of God. The deceiver, the devil, who is at work around us daily, has been busy doing the same things and playing the same games since the Garden of Eden. He is still tricking mankind into believing that our God’s Word isn’t true. He is yet trying to fool people.
After working his tricks for more than six thousand years, truly he is a master and professional in his lies. But remember that God has given us the spirit through Jesus Christ to faithfully think and know differently.
I encourage you, the next time the devil tries to pull something or anything over on you by trying to make things look as though God’s Word is not going to work for you, to remember that he is the father of lies (John 8:44). If there is a problem in our life and we need insight, don’t focus your attention on the problem. Examine it with the Word of God, until the answer is given through the light and revelation of the Word of God. Because God is Truth and without the truth, all else is a lie.
So humble yourself therefore under the mighty hand of God and cast all of your cares upon Him that He may exalt you in due time. Again I encourage you, don’t let the devil pull anything over on you.
“Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.” (Psalms 55:22)
