“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made” (John 1:1-3)
Jesus is the beginning and the ending. He is truly the Almighty. And when He told us this in Revelation 1:8, He wasn’t just giving us a general piece of information about Himself, or just telling us something to only make us feel good about His walk here on earth. But He was giving us a powerful truth that we can yet apply in our life today.
No matter what challenge or situation you may be facing right now; to fix it, you must start with Jesus, The Word. Because He is The Word, you must not do anything else until you find out what He, The Word, says about the matter and the situation.
The only way the devil can defeat you is to pressure you into discounting or doubting The Word. Remember – make His Word the first and last Word of all your comings and goings, because Jesus is the Lord that changes not (Malachi 3:6). God does not have a double standard. He does not say one thing today in His Word and change it tomorrow. If you make Jesus, The Word, the final authority in your life today; truly, it will give you the grace of stability when everything else around you seems to give way. God will be a refuge for the oppressed in times of trouble. “And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee” (Psalms 9:10).
A wise man will hear and will increase his learning from The Word, by putting The Word first. He will learn to depend on The Word in his daily challenges and situations.
Your diligence must be “…seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matthew 6:33).
So make His Word the last Word. You don’t have to wait to see the outcome or breakthrough to celebrate the Victory. Just make His Word the Last Word and shout Victory.
“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. (5) Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?” (1 John 5:4-5)
