“Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.” (Psalms 150:6)
God was so mindful of His people in giving us the heavens, the bird kingdom, and even the sounds of the ocean waves coming into the shore to sound out praises to their Creator. When we hear these sounds of praise, it should cause us to praise Him all the more.
Plus it should give us a real pleasure and enjoyment to see and hear God in all of His Creation. Yes, Praise His Holy Name! (Read Psalms 148:1-14.) And Psalms 150:6 says, “Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.” So not only inanimate creation, but especially the animate creation is to Praise the Lord.
Child of God, are you not thankful that God has opened your eyes and ears to see and hear spiritual things of God: to be able to hear the praises of the water in the ocean; to be able to see His glory in the cloud formations in the sky; as well as to see the glory of His stars and to hear their song in the night. To look at the sun and see the Son of Righteousness arising with healing in His wings; and to look at the moon and see the Church as she reflects the Glory of the Son. Hallelujah!
God has allowed us to spy His Glory even in His creation: in the sights, the sounds, the smells. I love God’s nature; I love to hear the sounds of His creation. I love to smell the sweet fragrances of His flowers; I love to feel the heated rays of His sun. And I love to listen to the sound of the defeated wave as it has to bow in all of its fury to the boundary of God. It falls in complete submission to its Maker, and becomes as harmless as a dove.
Oh, yes, we have a mighty God; but also a loving God; a considerate God to supply us with the beauty of His handiwork. If God’s people would pry themselves away from the wickedness on TV; if they would go outside, and stop, look, and listen; if they would consider the Greatness of God – they would be so blessed with joy and contentment, knowing that the One who created all of this is living in them. They would then be built up in the most holy faith in confidence and assurance that the Creator made them, lives in them, and has good for them. And they would see that if He feeds the little sparrow, how much more does He care for His children. Hallelujah!
