“…It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High” (Psalm 92:1)
Psalms 103:1-2 reads, “…Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.”
I admit to being thankful to God with the words of my mouth, and sometimes with my actions and reactions. But to just be thankful unto Him with and in my soul, and whole-heartedly is a reality and practice that I am blessed to be experiencing and learning in my latter Christian years; and especially during my stay here in prison.
Psalm 105:1 reads, “O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.” I truly thank God from whom I know that all blessings flow!
I thank Him as well, for the men and women who are faithful ministers / servants of and for His Grace and Mercy. And as the Psalmist has said, I not only want to make known among the people His deeds, which were performed specifically through the House of Hope Prison Ministry; I would like to take this opportunity to let them know that I truly appreciate their token of sharing Love. And because it was truly a gift (something that was offered to me, and that I did not have to do any work for, but only receive it); I am so Thankful!!
Even though House of Hope is somewhat limited, I know by certain aspects and things of life, “God is Unlimited.”
Playing a major part in teaching me Thanksgiving and Appreciation – to me is priceless.
