“Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.” (Isaiah 55:6-7)
The Lord has promised me an Abundant Pardon!!
There have been many who have experienced the Abundant Pardon of the Lord. This, by far, outweighs the thought of the possibility of, and even being granted, parole.
“It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.” (Lamentations 3:22)
God has humbled my heart to the point where I have become ever so grateful for His Mercy!! If I had suffered the punishment required for breaking His Law myself, then I would not even be alive to be considered for parole. And thank God that He has paid my debt for me through the Atoning Death, the Sacrifice, of His Son (Jesus Christ), who is my Substitute. Thank you Lord!! I have been so Abundantly Pardoned.
When a person makes parole, to my knowledge, the release is always conditional (that is, it has strings attached). But when one is pardoned by God, the release is unconditional (there are no strings attached). It is a clear picture of the Grace and Mercy of God Almighty, and the Freedom that He has given us in the Gift of Jesus through His Spirit.
“Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” (2 Corinthians 3:17)
Many of my fellow inmates no doubt wonder why I never stop smiling, even after they ask me, “Do you have a parole date?” and the answer is “No.” Even fellow believers seem to be surprised at the constant smile and joy when discussing parole and release. After all, if the Lord were to come back for us all in the next hour, or any time before any of us here are released from this present physical prison – then our Abundant Pardon would take its full effect immediately experientially. For to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8).
Just because I have no date on paper written by the hands of man, does not mean that I cannot or will not experience being released from this present prison. Man surely cannot prevent the release that will come when we are released from the presence of sin.
God’s Grace and Mercy is unlimited; but it is according to His Ways, His Thoughts, and His Holiness.
A question for you from His Word:
“Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?” (Jeremiah 32:27)
An answer for you from His Word:
“The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.” (Proverbs 21:1)
