“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness…” (2 Corinthians 12:9)
Becoming weary and heavy burdened with weighty emotions riding upon our shoulders from the things of this world can truly allow us to become very weak in our daily race. But God’s unmerited favor is all we need; because His grace is sufficient.
There is an enemy that we fight against every moment of the hour. But sometimes we become our own enemy by not claiming that we’re strong, when we emotionally feel weak. Our biggest enemy robs us within ourselves when we don’t faithfully stand for the fruit (strength) of a new creation in Christ; or when we do not desire the new life of our Heavenly Father. Because when God accepted us by His Grace, truly He breathed strength into our spirit that is much bigger than the weakness in ourselves.
And if you take the time to listen to God’s Spirit in times of weakness, truly God will give you a clear pathway to the strength that is made perfect in you as a new creature in Christ. If we listen to the Spirit of God that is in our new man, we will be able to glorify Jesus in our infirmities, and the Power of God will fill us to be more than conquerors (Romans 8:37-39). Nothing shall be able to separate us from the Love of God.
So I encourage you brethren, when the weariness of weakness tries to overtake you, remember, “… be not weary in well doing” (2 Thessalonians 3:13); “…for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not” (Galatians 6:9).
God has much strength to your weakness.
