I have a comment on the devotion “The Greatest Story Ever Told.” Very good in itself but all the more important because of the sentence, “Here Christ died spiritually to make us alive in Him.” I have never heard anyone else preach anything but a physical death. But in order to taste death for every man and quicken us in Himself, He must also have experienced spiritual death. This He did on the cross, proclaiming “It is finished” while He was still alive physically. This is an important truth of our redemption, necessary for us to be baptized into His death and raised to walk in newness of life spiritually.
Our actions are small compared to the mighty work of God being done in us and through us. I pray that we will always be mindful of His hand at work in our lives; and, knowing it is He that does the greater works (John 14:12), that we may have joy in His rest.
May you know the comfort of the Holy Spirit and His Abiding Presence. My prayers are continually with you for strength, peace, and direction. As each new day brings renewed mercy from the Lord, I pray you’ll know your blessedness.
