I thank God for House of Hope Prison Ministry, making mention always in my prayers for House of Hope and your labour of love. The Selected Devotionals Booklet was in every way… “a blessing.” It has touched my heart in many ways.
My name is E. M. J. and I have been a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ for 10 years now. I have also been incarcerated for 10 years.
As I near my release date (May 18, 2013), I’m asking that you please pray for me. Pray that God will provide me with a place to stay and also with a job (mainly in the construction industry, since I have a trade in carpentry). But yet, any job would do. I am a convicted criminal from the New Orleans area and the laws in Louisiana are really tough. But my hope is in the Lord and I will stand fast in the faith. Sometimes I get concerned about coming back to prison, because of the strict laws; but as the Apostle Paul says, bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.
My father (God bless his soul) is from Tylertown, Mississippi, and is buried there to this day. I have been seeking the Lord about staying in Tylertown. Nevertheless, I’m going to follow the Lord Jesus Christ, and wherever He leads… I’m following!!
Once again, I thank God for House of Hope Prison Ministry and for your prayers and the Godly love that is shed abroad in your hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
