The Beauty of the Shepherd Devotions
The 23rd Psalm is the center of each of these devotions. It is probably the most read, most memorized, and most quoted of any Psalm that King David penned. This series describes three major concepts from this beloved Psalm.
The Church
This five-part devotion series focuses on answering three questions concerning The Church: What is it? Where is it? and Who is it?
The Everlasting Covenant
In this series of devotions about Genesis 17, we see God revealing the contents (or specifics) of His Everlasting Covenant to Abraham. Abraham is a very special man to God. It was to Abraham that God first revealed His Covenant. It was with Abraham that God first established His Covenant. The Everlasting Covenant is God’s Declaration of His Eternal Purpose in Christ to reveal Himself to His People.
The Joseph Collection
These devotions begin with Joseph’s coat of many colors, describing “The Cost of the Coat.” Read about his time in prison, “The Consideration in Chains”; and the crisis with the Chief Butler and Chief Baker, “The Conversation in the Crisis.” And then follow him into his victorious “Coronation in the Court.” Read these messages and take a different look at Joseph and his trials and triumphs.
The Making of a Man
The Making of a Man begins with the creation of man, Genesis 1:26-27. In this series, we are not setting forth “How to be a Man.” However, as our reader measures himself by these Scriptural standards, he will come in line with God’s purpose for his life and will realize his blessedness in God’s Sovereign Plan.
The Miracle of Conversion
This series centers around Acts 8; the story of Philip and the Ethiopian. The posts begin and end with the truth that “Salvation is of the LORD” (Jonah 2:9); not by any work on man’s part, but wholly by the Sovereign Work of the Holy Spirit of God.
The Overcomer
What is an Overcomer? The Bible speaks of profitable servants and unprofitable servants. And we see the saved man can be classed as either a profitable servant, or an unprofitable servant. The profitable servant is the “overcomer.”
The Perfect Sacrifice
Are you tired? Have the trials and tribulations of life brought you to such a point in your Christian walk that you’re ready to give up? If this is your condition, you’re now reading an encouraging devotion series, an encouraging word from the Lord. “The Perfect Sacrifice” is about an Old Testament Bible character by the name of Hannah. Hannah was dealing with a trial that had brought her to her wits’ end; but Hannah’s faith held to the faithfulness of God.
The Struggle
“The Struggle” lies in the choices man makes. Either man trusts in the flesh; or his trust is in the Lord. It is the prayer of the author that these devotions will help the saved man understand that he may yet sin and why.
The Training of a Child
This series looks at the parent/child relationship as it pertains to child-training. It is the hope and prayer of this author that both parents and children will see their individual responsibilities, and will seek to implement these simple Scriptural guidelines for the glory of God in their family.
