This letter was received May 24, 2013:
Dear House of Hope Prison Ministry,
I wish to thank you for the materials you sent me to read and the birthday card. I was very proud someone remembered me.
Much has changed in my life since coming to prison. Ten months ago, my mother died at 82 years old. She left this world speaking to Jesus “Praise God.” Her last words were “My Lord’s come to take me home.” She said it three times and died. I was in prayer for her at the time she died, asking God to heal her or let her go home; I went right to sleep in prayer.
The lady I was with and engaged to left me 3 ½ years ago. Now I have no one, just Jesus. No one helps me, so this is why a letter to you is so long in coming.
I am still serving the Lord and will keep on until the day I’m called home.
Take care and God bless you, Brother David A.
