I would like to take this time to say what a pleasure and a blessing to be provided with a few of your daily devotionals. I am receiving some devotionals from —, but yours really breaks it down to a novice like me. This is my first time really into the Bible like I am. And I am really enjoying learning the Word of God.
I got into trouble in 2008. I lost my mother in 2012 due to lung cancer. Between that and the learning of my aunt and how she gave her life to God (we used to smoke, drink, and hang out together, along with my mom, back in the day), I just felt that it was time to give God control of my life. Of course I couldn’t do it by myself, no matter how hard I tried. Right now I am still struggling. It’s not as easy as I thought. But I have repented of my sins and asked God to be my Lord and personal Savior. This present life has been pretty rough for me. But I know now that it was God that has been keeping me and watching over me.
I am writing to ask for some of your devotionals sent to me. As I have spoken, I am trying to get to know God better, by studying, reading, and understanding His Word. I should be through with my current situation in 2015 and I am going to continue in the faith and hopefully continue to receive devotionals from you all as well as my aunt and her family, who I now have to depend on.
Even though I know times are hard, I pray and ask the Lord to make a way for me, and my faith in Him, I know he will. So if I could be a part of your mailing list as well as my aunt, I would greatly appreciate it.
God’s Word is good to me. Every morning the lights come on, I am in His Word. Before I go to bed at night, I am in His Word. So thank you for your time and patience and hope to hear from you soon.
